This is an easy breakfast or lunch on the run Strawberry Almond Power Smoothie! The success of this protein packed drink kind of surprised me because I wanted to make a smoothie, but first I had to get creative with what I had in my kitchen. Isn’t this when great things happen unexpectedly??
Greek yogurt, almond butter, strawberries, and almond milk make up the base for this yummy and super satisfying smoothie. Chia seeds are packed with calcium, iron, and protein if you can believe that? Who knew the Chia Pet joke would turn serious?? Yes that links to Baby Yoda Chia Pet. Wow.
The addition of Violet Sea Salt on top and swished around was exciting, as I have been trying to find a reason to use this Aldi find! There are two things violet about this salt: grape flavoring and anthocyanin. I had to look that one up. Anthocyanin is an antioxidant that holds a wide variety of health benefits including cardiovascular health, cancer prevention, and dementia. WHA?? I’m pretty sure I already have the latter so I’m putting this lovely Violet Sea Salt on everything now! Plus it is just too pretty not to have in one’s kitchen.
I love everything about these ingredients. So healthy and packed with vitamins and nutrients for powering up your day! Plop it all into a blender and go! If you really want to power this further, add a frozen banana!
Strawberry Almond Power Smoothie

- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup heaping with strawberries
- 2 T almond butter (lick the spoon!)
- 1 T Chia seeds
- 1 T honey or 1 tsp stevia
- Sprinkle of violet sea salt (or Himalayan Pink Sea Salt)
- Step 1
- Pour, drop, and plop everything into a blender, pour into a glass, and enjoy!
