My ass was draggin’ this morning so hard. When the dog wakes you up a good two hours before you are planning to actually even think about getting up, you need a Getcha Booty Movin’ Smoothie. “Up and away, got a big day, sorry can’t stay, I gotta run, run, yeah!” (See song at the bottom of this post) Coffee is great, and I need 2 double almond milk au laits every, every morning. It takes an army to get me moving if I didn’t sleep enough. You know when you can’t add simple math and the creative juices aren’t really clinking together the way you like? Fix up one of these in the ol’ Ninja blender and get your step moving in the right direction. Like connect the dots already, right? My dad used to tell me that I was just a “bear” in the morning if I didn’t get enough sleep. He knew. But he didn’t know that I needed one of these!
This couldn’t be easier. You can use any kind of juice you like. If you like actual milk, do that. The important thing is the fkn mind clearing stimulants in this one. Spirulina is a green powder made from algae plankton, and it packs 7 of the 8 amino acids that your body actually needs! My energy booster secrets are out. And if you really want to get stuff done, add some Maca Root. It has been known for (wink wink) making babies, aka a fertility booster, so if that’s what you want it to do it will probably help you have the energy and stamina to do it. Do it. Regardless, the main jive of this Peruvian wonder root, superfood, is that it gives you natural energy! There are also probiotics in the brand that I linked. Worth. Every. Penny. It has a bit of a nutty flavor, and both of these supplements pretty much require a blender. I’ve tried to smash up the Maca Root in some Kefir before, and it sort of works. Oh right, not pictured is the Kefir that I probably drank before it got into the frame. The Madagascar Vanilla is my favorite! Ingredients
- 1/2 cup almond milk, soy milk, oat milk, milk milk, etc
- 1/2 cup juice
- 1/2 cup kefir - any flavor get creative!
- 1 banana
- 1 tsp Spirulina
- 1 tsp Maca Root
